Healthwatch West Sussex is an independent organisation that exists to make health and care services work for the people of West Sussex who use them. Everything we say and do is informed by our connections to local people. Our Community & Involvement Leads are key to us achieving these connections.

Help and Care are recruiting to the following position:

Community Involvement Lead – specialising in Communications

You will work from home, in the community and with 1 set day per fortnight for attendance at the office with the team.

Using your special interest in communication and social media, along with general skills in engage people, you will encourage and support your colleagues, so together, we can create and fulfil opportunities to reach out and have real health and care conversations with local residents and stakeholders .

You will help in making sure we listen to and capture peoples’ views and experiences, and make sure these are taken account of by decision-makers.

Advocacy - Senior Independent Advocate  

1 position: Full time 37 hours per week or part time 30 hours per week over 4 days.  

Office based: The Pokesdown Centre, Bournemouth. 

£22,281 to £23,020 per annum for working full time 37 hours per week over 5 days Mon to Fri. 

pro rata £18,065 to £18,664 per annum for working part tiem 30 hours per week over 4 days.   

Temporary contract for one year - although there is a possibility of an extension. 

This role supports the Advocacy Manager with contract and quality management, supervision of a team of independent advocates and helps indivduals through empowering advocacy.

1 position: Part time 22.5 hours per week over 3 days (days worked to be agreed with manager)

Temporary contract until end of March 2018 however there is a possibility of an extension. 

Home based role within Bournemouth/Poole area with travel across Dorset.

 The Self-Management Coach provides a support service to people with one or more long term conditions to enable them to improve their health and wellbeing.
