Help and Care Opens New Carers Centre


Help and Care are proud to be opening their doors to carers with the launch of their new Carers Centre. The Mayor of Bournemouth, Councillor Anne Filer opened the centre today and learned about how Help and Care Supports Carers across Dorset.
The Mayor unveiled the new Carers Centre plaque which will be hung in the reception area.
The new carers centre will offer the chance for carers across Dorset to attend support groups once a month. This is in addition to benefitting from the other support services that Help and Care has to offer. These include;
- A sitting service for carers resident in Poole and Dorset
- Advocacy support
- Carerslink information and advice telephone support
- Training events
- Information Factsheets
Help and Care's Chair of Trustees made an emotional speech that applauded the work of carers across Dorset. He made a bold commitment that any carer that received support from Help and Care could expect indivicualised support and a listening ear.
