New Course for Carers
Help and Care has joined forces with St John's Ambulance and Dorset County Council to offer a new carers course for carers in Swanage. The seven session course runs from 19th June 2007 and will be held at The Health Centre in Swanage.
The course offers carers the opportunity to gain advice, skills and support. Information on local support services, money, benefits, ongoing support and legal implications will be on offer. Carers will also have the chance to gain skills in First Aid, learning to cope with memory loss, assertiveness techniques and take part in stress and relaxation sessions.
The course is FREE and lunch is provided.
