How we receive our television signal is changing.
The BBC's "Switchover Help Scheme" has been well-publicised but there will still be many people who do not understand what Switchover is about and these are likely to be people who need help from their community.
Help and Care is supporting the local roll-out of the Switchover Help Scheme in the Lymington, Dorchester, Highcliff, Wimborne, Bournemouth and Poole areas and on the Isle of Wight. We are looking for groups, clubs, associations and social activities for people over 75 to spread this message and ensure no-one gets missed.
Do you belong to a group or network who might benefit from a talk to let you know what it is all about ? Your group must include people over the age of 75 and take place in the postcodes listed below.
We would like to attend meetings and events from November to March to make sure that no older person in our community fails to get the help they need to switch over next year.
Please contact us if you would like us to give a talk or presentation to your group.
By calling us on 0300 111 3303, ask for Gary Finch or Peter Munns
