Help and Care is searching for inspirational older people from Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset to star in their 2011 calendar.
Help and Care has joined forces with {CAPTURE} a Poole-based, family run photography and design business to develop a 2011 Calendar that celebrates older people and their achievements.
The title of the project is “Something to be proud of…” and will include photographs of local older people with or doing something that they are particularly proud of.
Marianne Lambourne, Director of Development at Help and Care said: “We want to find local older people whose achievements can be recognised and celebrated in our calendar. {CAPTURE} photography is a friendly, talented and professional company with a real flair for capturing character and personality in their photographs. “
Justine Cameron from {CAPTURE} added, “We’re really looking forward to working with Help and Care on this project. If you feature in the calendar we will take your photograph in your home, on your allotment, at your yoga class or in our studio – wherever suits you; it’s all about capturing your proud moments.”
Anyone who wants to take part in the calendar or nominate someone (please seek permission from the person before nominating them) can download the application form, details about the entry criteria and judging process from www.helpandcare.org.uk or order a hard copy by contacting Alicia Kiely on 0300 111 3303. All entry forms must be received by 6 October 2010. Successful applicants will be contacted and the photoshoot will take place in October.
Calendars will be on sale for Christmas this year.
