Social Enterprise Estate Agency fights back against recession
MOVING ON, a Bournemouth estate agent that donates all its profits to charity is fighting back against the gloomy economic climate as it celebrates its second birthday and agrees a property sale within 24 hours of being instructed.
The celebration coincides with Social Enterprise Day which takes place on Thursday 18 November.
The team were recently asked to market a property in the Southbourne area and delighted the vendors by agreeing a sale in less than a day. Moving On was launched in 2008 to offer people in the BH postcode area an alternative to using a high street estate agency. The team do not work on commission, offer a moving planner service and donate any profit from their fee to local charity Help and Care.
Moving On is one of 62,000 social enterprises in the UK, which are set apart from normal businesses because they have a social or environmental aim. What’s more, any profits are put back into the business or given directly to the community, rather than going to owners or shareholders.
Moving On is determined to continue to grow over the coming year and plans to expand to new areas.
Rob Price, Property Marketing Manager at Moving On said: “We are delighted to be celebrating our second birthday. Moving On is here to provide people with a trustworthy, friendly and efficient estate agency service that puts something back into our community.”
He added: “Over the last two years our Moving Planner service has provided great comfort and support to many people who were in need of some extra support during the moving process.”
