The Zimmers hit the charts
New group The Zimmers storm the charts with a cover of The Who song "My Generation". Lead singer Alf is 90 years young, and no one in the band is under 60. The group was created to voice the feelings of isolation and imprisonment suffered by many older people – something which faces thousands of older people but which is often overlooked.
Help and Care is tackling isolation in older people and helping to give back independence though services such as Carerslink and the sitting service, telephone befriending, and a strong team of advocacy workers and volunteers.
