The Virgin Money London Marathon

Sam Wynn has always done lots of sport, but running this marathon is a big physical challenge he has never tackled before. Sam runs for Help & Care to help vulnerable people in the local community to maintain their independence and quality of life.

I’m fundraising for Help & Care as before volunteering to run the marathon I had a chance to read more about what the charity does and it is a very valuable cause. I have vulnerable family members who can often be forgotten by society and it is important that Help & Care are able to continue their incredible work giving much needed support!

Tom Mann is running the London Marathon 2017 for Help & Care because he’d like to raise awareness of our charity.

Stuart Gill lives in Dorset and that’s why he chose to support a local charity.

Living in Dorset myself, I wanted to run for a cause that makes a tangible difference to local people, particularly the elderly.

David Money has run 16 marathons throughout his life!

Although I'm winding down my running career, Help & Care have been expanding their services and are helping more people than ever. I want to use my last burst of energy to give Help & Care a big push as we all run up this great hill of Life together.

Each year we have 5 free places in the Virgin Money London Marathon. In exchange for this free place we ask you to raise funds for our work at Help & Care.

If you would like to be considered for a place in the Virgin Money London Marathon 2018, please please call Charlie Monkcom on 0300 111 3303 or email at charlie.monkcom@helpandcare.org.uk
