My Choices
In order to make decisions about your life, particularly if you have support needs (i.e. you need help from someone else to live the life you want to live), you need to know what your choices are. This applies whether you are are eligible or not for support from Social Services or whether you just want to organise your own support.
Help and Care's website is here to help you understand your choices so that you can stay in control of your decisions; whatever your personal circumstances.
We believe there are three key stages to go through in order to fully understand the choices that you have...
1. Firstly you need to know what your needs are.
2. Secondly you need to know what the choices or options are to live the life you want to live and decide which options are right for you.
3. Thirdly you need to decide, or understand, whether or not you want, or are eligible, for support from Social Services; either to pay for, or to organise your support for you.
