Ellie visited our Poole Hub feeling anxious and overwhelmed by her past experiences. She was struggling with everyday life and was finding simple tasks challenging.
After spending time with her wellbeing coordinator, Tanya, she expressed that she felt heard and understood. Ellie was then able to choose when and how she moved forward, giving her space to work out what was most important for her.
One of Ellies biggest obstacles was getting back in the kitchen and cooking, it seemed this might take some time for her to overcome, however after being invited to attend the Macmillan coffee morning at the Hub, Ellie surprised us all with a delicious apple cake she had baked for the event.
When we asked if she was happy for us to share her story, Ellie said:
I do not mind at all, I am so grateful for the support and guidance I have received, I am more than happy to share my experience
Thank you, Ellie, for inspiring us all with your journey.
