Mrs Smith’s story – Advantages of being a Handiworks Plus member

Mrs Smith called the Handiworks Plus team as her doorbell wasn’t working. Her husband has carers visiting during the day, so she was worried that they wouldn’t hear them arrive. They needed a handyperson to fix their bell as soon as possible.

The Handiworks Plus administrator called a few of our contractors to see if they could do the job within the following days. Handiworks is not an emergency service, however the team always tries to help if they can.

Jeff, who has worked at Handiworks Plus for more than five years, was able to do the job on the next day. Jeff visited Mr and Mrs Smith in the following morning and fixed the bell in less than an hour.

Mrs Smith said:

“I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the help I got over my bell that wasn’t ringing. The handyman has already been and fitted this for us. I am very grateful to you all.”

Mrs Smith became a Handiworks Plus member four years ago. She says:

“I joined the Handiworks Plus membership because I was fed up with looking for different contractors and worrying that they’d charge too much or wouldn’t do the job properly. With Handiworks I feel at ease - it’s easy as I only have to call the team and they take care of finding the right contractor and I know that he or she will be trustworthy.”
