My name is Kirsty, I’m the Marketing & Comms Lead at Help & Care, and I’ve been here for just over a year.

  • Why did you decide to join Help & Care?

I joined, as it’s a charity I really align with values-wise, and I always want to use my marketing skills for the greatest good!

  • What does a normal day look like for you at work?

It can totally vary – mostly I work remotely at home, so I can be desktop working and having a few Teams meetings. Occasionally I get to attend in-person meetings across East Dorset in public buildings or sometimes down at A49, our HQ. The projects I work on can vary in size and how much involvement is needed – thankfully I have an amazing assistant who keeps me on top of things and acts as my second brain.

  • What do you enjoy the most about your work? What inspires you the most about your work?

The variation for sure and the creativity – both are things my brain is happiest with!

  • What word would your team use to describe you?

I imagine something like hyper.

  • What’s your favourite memory from working here?

Haven’t been here that long; however, we as a team have really cracked through some massive projects! Faves so far would definitely be the branding and new website we’ve just launched; they have been testing but also loads of fun and let me work with pretty much everyone in the company.

  • How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

Technically I’m also a yoga teacher, so probably that! I don’t teach any classes currently; however, I do run the odd retreat and really enjoy this work too. I also love hanging with my daughter, sea dips, being outside, reading, singing to music really loud while driving and having in-depth catch-ups with good friends!

  • Why should someone want to work at Help & Care?

Work here if you want to grow – if you want to feel supported in all you are and all you can offer and be respected and given the freedom you need to blossom! 🙂
