These coaching sessions were focused on building back Margaret’s confidence, ensuring that she knew what she wanted from life, even though to begin with, unsure of how she may get there.

Margaret has gone from not wanting to go out and do things, to living a very full life with her family and friends, even enjoying a surprise meal for her 74th birthday recently. Margaret is now able to process, accept and cope better with the fact that her husband is no longer around physically or emotionally. Margaret now does any DIY jobs around the house with confidence, is feeling good physically, and prioritising herself and her needs alongside others.

In her own words Margaret tells us:

“I had a very traumatic time in August 2024, and found myself unable to work out how I was going to cope with any part of my life, as it had been turned upside down. In late December a lovely lady call Lexie phoned me to ask would I like an appointment to meet with her. I had already said to friends and family, that I did not want to go to any groups but she offered me a one to one appointment. This was the best thing that could have happened to me. It was as if I had known her in a former life. She talked about everything. From if I was eating properly, finances, managing emotions and how to get back to feeling like myself. I could talk to her regarding anything. Everyone should have a little Lexie on their shoulder to remind themselves that everything will be okay.

The health and well-being service is the best service, I would recommend it to anyone, who feels they need someone to help and talk to.”
