Something I didn’t have any motive to join. You put me in contact with Christchurch Community, and it’s led to me joining an exercise class, lunches, afternoon tea outings and travelling on a community bus.
The first time the bus arrived for me – I wanted to turn and run, but took a deep breath and climbed aboard with all the other grey-haired ladies and their wheelchairs or rollators. It was for the exercise class which I thought was going to be easy. NOT! I was therefore, astonished to see how these “frail ladies and gentlemen” anything were but. I loved the classes.
Then I was invited to join the bus to go to lunch, first in Highcliffe then last week at Highstead here in Christchurch. They are fun and I’ve met some extraordinary people. This afternoon I’m off to a coffee afternoon and they’ve insisted that James and Gabi join me.
Yes, of course, I’m still doing art, which I love. I’m back gardening again and thanks to you organising counselling with Laura, I’ve learnt how to cope with polyvagal theory. I need to read and study it more but already my life has changed.
I want Shore Medical to know what a huge asset you are to their team. I wouldn’t be doing anything without your help. I also want to thank Dr Turner, who I think was the doctor who asked you to work with me.
My thanks also to Shore Medical for the amazing care and help I’ve had, and James gets. The other good news it that my infection is finally over! It lasted for almost a month and made me totally dolally – but my brain feels as though it’s almost back to normal (whatever normal is in my life!)
Once again Diarmuid, I’ve only reached this point thanks to you. I hope your other clients realise what an awesome person you are.
