Dorset Primary Care Training Hub has invested in providing a funded non-clinical workforce supervision framework of support until September 2023 which includes an offer of Personalised Care Institute (PCI) accredited training in partnership with Help & Care and CEmPaC.
At Help & Care we have been working in partnership with CEmPaC and the Dorset Primary Care Training Hub to create training courses for Health and Care professionals, accredited by the Personalised Care Institute (PCI). This means they have been assessed against the PCI’s rigorous quality assurance & accreditation framework, so you can be assured that they meet the very highest standards of training.
The concept of patient activation or self-management recognises that people can, if given appropriate support, become confident and knowledgeable partners in their own care, making day-to-day decisions and judgments on how to effectively manage their health.
For some people with complex health conditions and social circumstances this journey may take many years, sometimes compounded by the health care system itself.
The Person-Centred Conversation courses offered by Help & Care are designed for non-clinical Practitioners within Health and Social Care. They provide the chance to discover, practice, and develop the core skills and techniques that will help to support and engage the people who use their service to play a more active role in their own health and wellbeing outcomes.
