I can't think of a better or more British way to celebrate; A pot of tea, finger sandwiches, scones with fresh cream and jam (jam first then cream thank you very much) and of course excellent company!
A little less than two weeks ago we organised a cream tea for our volunteers to celebrate their amazing contribution within the community. In the past year alone, our volunteers have given over 681 hours of their time to help people in their local community.
Our volunteers cream tea was a great opportunity for us to say a big Help & Care thank you for all the time, effort and energy that they have poured into helping others live more independent lifestyles.
It was also a fantastic opportunity for us to hear more about their different motivations for joining the Help & Care team and what they got out of volunteering.
