Help & Care Marathon Runners smash their targets!

'Dream.  Believe.  Achieve'

This is the phrase used by one of Help & Care's 6 Marathon Runners who took part in the infamous London Marathon, April 2019.

Every year at Help & Care we have 5 spaces available for running enthusiasts to compete in the London Marathon.  In return, we ask that our runners commit to a fundraising target of £1,500 to participate.

This year, our marathon runners; Mike Edwards, Craig Marsh, Jo Rosewarn, Kirstie Clowsley, Larine Clift and Fitz Monfiston absolutely smashed their targets!  Collectively, they ran a total of 157.2 miles (26.2 miles each) raising a running total of £8400 - this number continues to rise - Incredible!

The money raised by our 6 Marathon Runners will help support our volunteers' services, this includes: Telephone Befriending Services, The Walking Group, Community Support Volunteers, Garden Mentors and Charity Shop Volunteers.  Without the money raised from our fundraisers, these services would not be able to function effectively.

We want to say a big Help & Care thank you to all of our Marathon Runners for their support and a massive well done to them for accomplishing such a huge personal achievement.

If you would like to run in the 2020 London Marathon, please download the London Marathon Application Form and send it to contact@helpandcare.org.uk.
