This follows the retirement of our founding Chief Executive, Mark Sharman, which was announced last year. Over 40 years, he has led Help & Care from its beginnings to the organisation it is today – creating lasting impact for people and communities.

Our Chair, Adrian Dawson, says:

“We are delighted to welcome Katie Holland to Help & Care. Katie brings a strong commitment to our values and a clear vision for the future. We are also incredibly grateful to Mark Sharman for four decades of inspiring leadership and dedication.”

Katie Holland, newly appointed Chief Executive of Help & Care shared:

“I am absolutely delighted to be leading Help & Care into a new chapter, building on the incredible work and legacy that Mark is leaving and the vision and values he has instilled over the last 40 years. It’s a privilege to be taking the charity forward; and to ensure that the organisation continues to grow and further its impact for people and communities.

I’m excited to work alongside employees, partners and communities to keep championing wellbeing, and supporting and empowering those who need it.

It is a challenging time for the charity sector, which is why the work of organisations like Help & Care has never been more vital.”

As we move forward, we do so with deep gratitude for everything that has been built – and real excitement for what comes next.

We look forward to introducing Katie to our partners and communities in the coming months.
