The Smile Programme is a service offering support, motivation, interaction, learning and enablement opportunities to people over 65 living alone who would like to get involved in social activities.  A volunteer will visit the person at home and in due course accompany them to their chosen activities for a limited period of time. The service is for residents of Burton, Sopley, Mudeford, Highcliffe, Walkford, Somerford, Winkton, and those in the  BH23 postcode area. Clients need to be willing to pay £14 per month (£8 if on Pension Credit) towards volunteer training and expenses.
