The Leonardo Trust is an independent charity set up to provide help and support for those who care for another person, full time, in their own home, within Dorset. The Trust may be able to assist with the cost of replacement care for the cared for person, but the main aim
is to provide respite and relaxation for the carer whatever age. Following a referral from a Social Worker or other Health Care Professional help may be offered to enable the carer to take a break. The trust will either fund replacement care, a place at a Day Centre so the carer can have some free time, a complete break away, or other recreational activities for the carer. The Leonardo Trust is not a care agency and does not provide care attendants.
The Trust does not help with the provision of equipment for the cared for person or make cash grants to individuals

The National Benevolent Fund for the Aged was founded to improve the quality of life for older people in the UK who live on a low income. NBFA does this by providing direct,
practical assistance through the provision of free emergency alarms, free TENS pain relief machines as well as organising free holidays and day trips.
