Roots

Supporting community-led health projects to grow and thrive from the ground up.

At Roots, we believe nurturing nature nurtures us too.

Our small team supports people living with mental ill health through group gardening sessions in community green spaces across Bournemouth and Poole.

Volunteers, often referred through mental health services, are also on their own recovery journey. Roots offers a safe, welcoming space to grow confidence, skills, and social connection — no gardening experience needed.

How Roots Can Help

Delivered by a small, dedicated team – including a Roots Wellbeing Support Worker and a Garden Services Worker – the project welcomes everyone, no gardening experience needed.

We support people living with mental ill health by creating opportunities to connect with others, spend time outdoors, and take part in meaningful gardening activities that benefit the wider community across Bournemouth and Poole.

We cultivate hope, connection, and wellbeing.

Make services work for you

Involving People

We are Involving People – a team on a mission to make services work with communities, not just for them. Because the people living them know them best.

At Involving People, we’re experts in community-led research – bringing real voices to the table where decisions are made. We team up with organisations across the public, private, and voluntary sectors to:

  • Design services with communities
  • Support change that’s rooted in real experience
  • Challenge and influence decision-makers at every level

Our partnerships help us reach more people, make a bigger impact, and keep lived experience right where it belongs: front and centre.
