Annual Leave - All Full-Time staff have 25 days (5 weeks) paid leave per year plus Bank Holidays. Managers have 28 days leave per year plus Bank Holidays. The Leadership Team is entitled to 30 days leave per year and the Chief Executive 32 days per year. Part Time employees are entitled to the same annual leave entitlement as Full-Time staff on a pro rata rate for the number of hours contractually worked each week.

Birthday Leave - All Staff receive their birthday off work as paid leave (1 day).

Buy Annual Leave - Staff can purchase up to one working week additional leave to use within the annual leave year. Payment for this will be deducted from monthly wages up to 12 months.

Buy Your Own Kit - where staff can purchase IT equipment (e.g. laptop, tablet) with an interest free loan and payback via monthly salary deduction agreement over a period of 6 months to 12 months. The IT Kit purchased can be used for both personal and work use, as long as the Information Governance policy is followed in terms of security and data protection. 

Carers’ Leave - Two days of paid leave to deal with unexpected or sudden emergencies relating to a child or other dependent person and up to five days of unpaid planned or expected leave to provide or arrange care for a loved one (they do not have to live with you)

Cycle to Work - Tax free bikes for work. Scheme for staff to purchase bike and safety equipment worth up to £1,000 if they use their bike for work. Salary sacrifice for the agreement over 12 months which saves on income tax and national insurance.

Employee Health & Wellbeing Service - The Employee Health & Wellbeing Service is an independent confidential free service available to all our staff (and for up to 4 children under the age of 21 or 24 if in full-time education, which can be added to the plan for free). The service offers cover for everyday healthcare treatments, 24-hour access to GP helpline, discounted gym memberships and 24-hour counselling service (either via telephone or face-to-face).

Flexible Working - A range of flexible working options are available and there is a policy and procedure that enable staff to propose working arrangements which we will make every effort to accommodate when considered in conjunction with business need. Options available include part-time working, part home working, and different working patterns for school term time and holidays.

Pension scheme - Help & Care is registered with National Employment Savings Trust (NEST) pension scheme. Employees, who meet the statutory requirement for pension auto enrolment (earn £10,000 or more per annum, are aged 22 or over and are under state pension age) are automatically enrolled into the pension scheme from the start of their employment. Employees who do not meet the statutory requirement for auto enrolment may join the pension scheme if they wish. The pension contribution rate is in line with statutes in force – this at present is 3% from the Employer and 5% from the Employee. Employees can opt-out from the scheme or make additional contributions if they wish.

Access to Unpaid leave - Staff may request short unpaid breaks in addition to their annual leave entitlement, which are dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

Training - Staff are encouraged to identify any training needs, for both personal and organisational development. Help & Care will support staff wherever possible when they wish to undertake training.
